We can never go back to Manderley again.
So I went to go see Sleep No More for the third time last night. I re-watched a lot of my favorite scenes, and I saw a lot of scenes I had missed the first two times. The constant discovery and re-discovery is one of the best parts of the show.
I spent a lot more time on the 5th floor with the hospital, which still creeps me out completely. But the time spent there got me my first one-on-one with a nurse, which was awesome.
I also followed Duncan around for a bit, and right before the final scene, he pulled me close and whispered into my ear, as others around me tried to lean in to hear what he was saying.
Later, I discovered it was a variation of 1 Corinthians 3:16-17:
“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.”
Amazing, as always.
ETA: I discovered someone else also had my one-on-one, although mine was with a male nurse (who I have seen in a different role in previous visits). Spoilers ahead: http://vjarmy.com/archives/2011/10/the-nurse-who-loved-me.php
